ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore the efficacy and safety of microneedle radiofrequency combined with supramolecular salicylic acid in improving facial photoaging.Methods:Thirty patients treated for facial photoaging were randomly divided into the combined treatment group and the microneedle radiofrequency group. All patients were female, aged between 30 and 50 years, with an average age of (39.4±4.1) years. The combined treatment group was treated with microneedle radiofrequency combined with supramolecular salicylic acid, and the Microneedle radiofrequency group was treated with microneedle radiofrequency alone. The patients were followed up 3 days, 7 days, 14 days, 28 days and 3 months after treatment. The results of VISIA, skin physiology and patients' satisfaction were used to compare the two groups of patients after treatment.Results:After 3 months of treatment, the skin pores (11.98±2.14 vs. 15.54±1.52), brown spots (12.40±1.85 vs. 15.84±1.42), ultraviolet spots (6.74±0.87 vs. 11.20±1.70), skin physiological status (transepidermal water loss): 11.84±1.80 vs 13.09±1.96 g/(h·m) 2, stratum corneum water content: 84.91±2.86 % vs 80.29±3.58 %, melanin index: 110.07±15.02 vs. 122.30±9.97, erythema index: 220.43±19.69 vs. 236.30±16.55), elasticity (75.98±3.94 vs. 69.89±3.58), epidermal thickness (1401.33±178.43 vs. 1217.13±139.77), skin color improvement (effective rate 86.7% vs. 40.0%) and patients' satisfaction (total satisfaction was 93.3% vs 67.0%) in the combined treatment group were significantly superior than those in the microneedle radiofrequency group, and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05). The reaction of moderate and severe erythema (the incidence rate 40.0% vs. 86.7%) and edema (the incidence rate 26.7% vs. 80.0%) in the combined treatment group was also significantly lower than that in the microneedle radiofrequency group ( P<0.05). No adverse pigmentation was reported in both groups after treatment. Conclusions:The combination of microneedle radiofrequency and supramolecular salicylic acid in the treatment of facial photoaging has definite clinical effect and high safety, which is worthy of clinical application.

ABSTRACT

The increasing incidence of obesity and diabetes has made diabetic kidney disease (DKD) the main cause of chronic kidney disease and end-stage renal disease. Despite current pharmacological interventions for blood glucose control and renin-angiotensin system inhibition, the risk of kidney disease progression and complications remains high. At present, the pathogenesis of DKD has been clarified to be related to chronic inflammatory response, oxidative stress, glucose and lipid metabolism disorders, and hemodynamic abnormalities. According to recent studies, the programmed cell deaths (PCD) of renal intrinsic cells such as pyroptosis and necroptosis play a key role in the occurrence and development of DKD. Pyroptosis and necroptosis, the two newly discovered routes of PCD, can protect the hosts from being invaded by microbial pathogens, but their dysregulation is associated with multiple autoimmunity and autoinflammatory responses. Pyroptosis and necroptosis are closely interlinked and cross-regulated. Different from apoptosis, these two cellular suicide mechanisms cause membrane rupture and release of cell contents through their respective gasdermin D (GSDMD) and mixed lineage kinase domain-like protein (MLKL), with damage-associated molecular patterns (DAMPs) and inflammatory cytokines like interleukin-1β (IL-1β) involved to trigger inflammation, and chronic inflammatory responses are key factors leading to the progression of DKD. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has long been employed for the prevention and treatment of DKD and the resulting clinical outcomes are remarkable. TCM has been proved to exert a protective effect against DKD by affecting the expression of nucleotide oligomerization domain-like receptor protein 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome, receptor-interacting protein kinase 3 (RIPK3), and MLKL. This paper reviewed the relationship of pyroptosis and necroptosis with DKD and its intervention with TCM.

ABSTRACT

ObjectiveTo study the effect and mechanism of Wuwei Xiaoduyin in treating rat renal mesangial cells (HBZY-1) induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) through the nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) signaling pathway. MethodRat HBZY-1 cells were randomly assigned into the normal group, model group, benazepril (50 μmol·L-1) group, and high- and low-dose (2.75 and 0.69 g·kg-1) Wuwei Xiaoduyin groups. The normal group, model group, and benazepril group were treated with 10% normal rat serum, and the Wuwei Xiaoduyin groups with 10% medicated serum. Except the normal group, the other four groups were treated with LPS (100 ng·mL-1) for modeling in vitro. The changes of cell morphology were observed under optical microscope. The expression of NF-κB p65 was detected by immunofluorescence (IF) method. Methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium (MTT) colorimetry was employed to detect cytotoxicity and cell proliferation. The levels of interleukin-1β (IL-1β), intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1), laminin (LN), and fibronectin (FN) in cell supernatant were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The mRNA levels of IL-1β, FN, and NF-κB p65 were measured by real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR. The protein levels of phosphorylated inhibitor of NF-κB kinase β (p-IKKβ), phosphorylated NF-κB inhibitor (p-IκBα), and NF-κB p65 were determined by Western blot. ResultCompared with the normal group, the modeling increased cell proliferation (P<0.01), elevated the levels of IL-1β, ICAM-1, LN, and FN in cell supernatant (P<0.01), and up-regulated the mRNA levels of IL-1β, FN, and NF-κB p65 (P<0.01) and the protein levels of p-IKKβ, p-IκBα, and NF-κB p65 (P<0.01). Such changes were recovered by benazepril and Wuwei Xiaoduyin (P<0.05, P<0.01). ConclusionWuwei Xiaoduyin can mitigate the inflammatory injury of renal mesangial cells induced by LPS by inhibiting the NF-κB signaling pathway.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To analyze and summarize clinical characteristics of atopic dermatitis (AD) , and to discuss differences and consistency among the Williams′, Japanese and Chinese diagnostic criteria for AD.Methods:A retrospective analysis was performed on 165 hospitalized patients with AD diagnosed according to the Williams′ criteria or the Chinese Zhang′s criteria in Southwest Hospital of Army Medical University from October 2000 to May 2020. Clinical data were re-evaluated according to the Williams′, Japanese and Chinese diagnostic criteria, and differences were analyzed among these criteria. Measurement data were compared by using t test, analysis of variance or rank sum test, and enumeration data were compared by using chi-square test or Fisher′s exact test. Results:Among the 165 patients, 66 (40.00%) developed AD before the age of 2 years; 95 (57.58%) had a personal and/or family history of atopic diseases, of whom 75 had a personal history of atopic diseases (mainly including allergic rhinitis [28.48%] and asthma[20.00%]) , 50 had a family history of atopic diseases, and 30 had both a personal and a family history of atopic diseases. A total of 98 patients (59.39%) were allergic to dust mites, including 48 with grade Ⅵ allergy. According to the total IgE level, 130 (78.79%) patients were diagnosed with exogenous AD, and 35 (21.21%) with endogenous AD. There were significant differences in the age at onset and blood eosinophil count between the patients with exogenous AD and those with endogenous AD (both P < 0.001) . After re-evaluation, 142 (86.06%) patients met the Williams′ criteria, 23 did not, and there was a significant difference in the age at onset between the two groups of patients ( P = 0.007) ; 150 (90.91%) patients met the Chinese Zhang′s criteria, 15 did not, and there was a significant difference in blood eosinophil counts between the two groups of patients ( P = 0.001) ; 160 (96.97%) patients met the Chinese Yao′s criteria; all patients met the Japanese criteria. There were no significant differences in the age at onset, total IgE level or blood eosinophil counts among patients meeting the Williams′ criteria, meeting the Japanese criteria, meeting the Zhang′s criteria, and those meeting the Yao′s criteria (all P > 0.05) . Conclusion:Patients with early-onset AD were prone to develop the highest-grade dust mite allergy; patients with exogenous AD were characterized by lower age at onset and higher eosinophil counts compared with those with endogenous AD; patients who met the Williams′ criteria showed lower age at onset than those who did not, while patients who met the Chinese Zhang′s criteria showed higher eosinophil counts than those who did not.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE@#To observe the effect of acupuncture combined with conventional symptomatic and supportive treatments on swallowing function and nutritional status in children with severe hand foot and mouth disease complicated with dysphagia.@*METHODS@#A total of 68 children with severe hand foot and mouth disease complicated with dysphagia were randomized into an observation group and a control group, 34 cases in each one. Symptomatic and supportive treatments such as lowering temperature, tranquilizing and mechanical ventilation were adopted in the control group. On the basis of the treatments in the control group, acupuncture was applied at Lianquan (CV 23), Jialianquan (Extra), cervical Jiaji (EX-B 2), Fengfu (GV 16), Fengchi (GB 20), Yamen (GV 15), scalp motor and sensory areas in the observation group, once a day, 6 times a week, one month as a course and totally 3 courses were required. Time spent on restoring swallowing function was observed in both groups. Besides, score of dysphagia disorder survey (DDS) and nutritional status were evaluated before and after treatment, and the clinical effects were compared.@*RESULTS@#The total effective rate was 91.2% (31/34) in the observation group, which was superior to 73.5% (25/34) in the control group (<0.05). The time of restoring swallowing function in the observation group was advanced than the control group (<0.05). Compared before treatment, the DDS scores after treatment were decreased in both groups, and the reduction in the observation group was larger than the control group (all <0.05). After the treatment, the normal rate of nutritional status was 61.8% (21/34) in the observation group, which was superior to 32.4% (11/34) in the control group (<0.05).@*CONCLUSION@#On the basis of conventional treatment, acupuncture can effectively treat the severe hand foot and mouth disease complicated with dysphagia, improve the swallowing function and nutritional status.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To explore the characteristics of death distribution in emergency critical care patients and guide the distribution of emergency resources.METHODS: Clinical data of all patients who died in the emergency department of Peking University third hospital from 2013 to 2017 were collected.Age,gender composition and time of death were analyzed.Pareto diagram was used to analyze the composition of causes of death.RESULTS:(1)Elderly patients(≥60 years old)accounted for81.0% of the total number of deaths,and the age difference has statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)Pareto diagram analysis showed that respiratory diseases,sudden death,shock and nervous diseases were the main causes of death in critically ill patients.(3)Age was associated with respiratory diseases,cardiovascular diseases,shock,sudden death,nervous diseases and trauma(P<0.05).Gender was associated with respiratory diseases,sudden death and trauma(P<0.05).(4)50.8% the death cases occurred within 24 h after admission,the median time of sudden death patients is the shortest(1 h),followed by shock(24 h).The median time of death of malignant tumor was up to 5040 h.CONCLUSION: Elderly patients are the major death group in the emergency department.Respiratory,circulatory and neurological diseases are the common causes of death.And most patients die in the early stage of treatment.Therefore,it is necessary to reasonably allocate emergency medical resources according to the actual situation.

ABSTRACT

Objective: To investigate the current practice of extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation (ECPR) for Chinese cardiac arrest patients after the publication of 2015 American Heart Association guidelines for cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Methods: A questionnaire was distributed to healthcare providers of emergency departments (EDs) and/or Intensive Care Units (ICUs) across 52 hospitals in China from August to November 2016. Data collection ended in February 2017. The questionnaire included three parts: (1) characteristics of the departments and the respondents; (2) knowledge about ECPR; (3) practice of ECPR in cardiac arrest patients (case volume, inclusion/exclusion criteria, ECPR procedure). The characteristics of the departments/hospitals were only answered by the head of the department. Results: A total of 1 952 (86.8%) respondents fulfilled the survey. Only 2.5% of the respondents from 3 of 52 hospitals performed ECPR. Among the three hospitals, the case number of ECPR were ≤5 per year and none of them had written ECPR procedures. Only one hospital had formal inclusion/exclusion criteria. The inclusion criteria included age between 18 to 60 years, suspected cardiogenic cardiac arrest, beginning of cardiopulmonary resuscitation 10 min. The top three reasons for the nonuse of ECPR were unknown fields (31.2%), potential ECMO-related side effects (26.9%) and cost (18.7%). Conclusions: ECPR for cardiac arrest patients are not well understood by healthcare providers in the emergency department or ICUs and its application is still in the early stage in China. Educational training and other interventions are needed to promote the clinical practice.

ABSTRACT

Aim To investigate the effect of non-T cell binding peptide(FNS007)on collagen type Ⅱ-induced arthritis(CIA)in mice and the possible mechanisms.Methods The CIA model was induced by intradermal injection of bovine CⅡ+Freunds adjuvant.At the clinical onset of CIA,mice were randomly divided into 6 groups: blank control group(Control),model group,ORENCIA(abatacept)group,FNS007 low dose(1.2 mg·kg-1)group,FNS007 middle dose(2.4 mg·kg-1)group and FNS007 high dose(4.8 mg·kg-1)group.FNS007 was given by intravenous injection on the first day of arthritis and every other day until the study was terminated on d 28 after injection of the drug.The paw thickness and the ankle joint width were measured,and the arthritis scores were recorded.At termination,interferon-γ(IFN-γ),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6)and level of anti-CⅡ antibody in serum were examined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Bone injury was analyzed by X-ray imaging,and HE staining was conducted to observe the histopathologic changes and pathological score of ankle tissues.Results CIA models were successfully induced.Compared with CIA group,FNS007 high dose significantly reduced the paw thickness and the ankle joint left-right diameter,lowered arthritis scores in CIA mice,reduced serum concentrations of IFN-γ,IL-6 and anti-CⅡ antibodies,and lowered the radiographic and histologic scores.Compared with CIA group,FNS007 middle dose group showed marked reduction in the arthritis scores,IL-6 content in serum,and inhibion in the radiographic and histologic scores.The arthritis scores,concentration of IFN-γ,the radiographic and histologic scores were significantly reduced in FNS007 low dose group compared with those in model group.Conclusion FNS007 can effectively inhibit the progression of CIA through inhibiting T-cell activation and reducing inflammatory cytokines,anti-CⅡ antibodies,and histoclasia and bone destruction.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To observe the effects of FNS007 on collagen Ⅱ-induced arthritis(CIA) rat models and investigate the underlying mechanism.Methods: CIA model was induced by intradermal injection of Freunds adjuvant and bovine CⅡ.Rats were randomly divided into six groups:normal control group,model group,methotrexate group,high,middle and low doses of FNS007 groups,with 12 rats in each group.FNS007 was gived by intravenous injection,the normal control and model group were administrated with PBS.Observing the paw thickness,ankle joint width and the arthritis scores in the CIA rats during the experiment.On d 22 after injection of the drug, all rats were killed.Interferon-γ(IFN-γ),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-6 (IL-6) and level of anti-CⅡantibody in serum were examined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).The pathological score and radiography of ankle joint were evaluated.Results: Data revealed that FNS007 treated groups showed a significant reduction in paw thickness,ankle joint width and the arthritis scores compared to model group (P<0.05,P<0.01),especially FNS007 high dose goup.The levels of TNF-α,IFN-γ,IL-6 and anti-CⅡantibodies in serum in high dose goup were significantly lower than those of model group(P<0.05,P<0.01).X-ray examination showed that FNS007 could significantly alleviate the damage of joint and decrease the radiographic scores.Pathological examination exhibited that FNS007 could significantly reduce pathological scores,alleviate inflammatory cell infiltration and synovial hyperplasia,improve the histopathological changes.Conclusion: FNS007 has a treating effect on CIA rats,and the mechanisms may be through competitive inhibition of T cell,inhibiting inflammatory cytokines and anti-CⅡantibodies secretion,regulating the abnormal immune responses.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the application and influencing factors of early clopidogrel use in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) in the central-rural region of China in 2006 and 2011. Methods A representative sample of patients in central-rural region of China admitted to hospital for AMI was created from a two-stage random sampling. In the first phase,a simple random-sampling procedure was used to identify participating hospitals. In the second stage,we selected patients admitted to each participating hospitals for AMI with a systematic sampling approach. Then we obtained clinical information via central medical record abstraction for each patient. For analysis of early clopidogrel therapy (within 24 hours of admission) status,we used multilevel Logistical regression models with the use of generalized estimating equations. Results We identified 1464 patients eligible for early clopidogrel therapy. From 2006 to 2011,the early application rate of clopidogrel increased significantly,from 3.98% to 48.72% (P<0.0001). Logistic regression analysis showed that patients with hypertension were more likely to receive early clopidogrel(OR=1.65,95% CI=1.21-2.26,P=0.001),smokers were associated with greater likelihood to receive early clopidogrel(OR=1.87,95% CI=1.19-2.95,P=0.007),and patients with chest discomfort during hospitalization indicated association with higher likelihood of early clopidogrel use within 24 hours of admission (OR=2.17,95% CI=1.35-3.49,P=0.001). Conclusions Early clopidogrel use in AMI patients has been improved from 2006 to 2011. However,tremendous gap still exists between guidelines and clinical practice. Quality improvement initiatives are in urgent need to support further improvements in early clopidogrel use for AMI patients.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To investigate whether diethyldithiocarbamate (DDC) affect the activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD) of Bifidobacterium infantis ( BB ) .Methods: We used simple anaerobic activated ways to culture BB .After the bacterium reached platform growth period ,two concentrations (200 and 1 000 μmol/L) of DDC were added to bacterium medium for a specific period of time (0.5,1,2,4 and 24 h),which was in order to determine if this inhibitor affected the activity of SOD .As a positive control,the in-hibitory effect of DDC on the activity of SOD in murine intestinal samples was also checked .Results:It was found that incubation of BB with DDC for some specific periods showed no effect on the activity of SOD .However , the activity of SOD in intestine reduced dramatically after the mice were given DDC in vivo .Conclusion:DDC affect the SOD activity in mice ,while it showed no effect on SOD activity of BB.The suitable inhibitor for SOD of BB is not commercially available and further research is warranted .

ABSTRACT

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To establish a stable and modified mouse model of brain death (BD) and to share our experiences in BD induction and maintenance.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>Totally 35 C57BL/6 male mice were randomized into BD group (n=25) or sham control group (n=10). BD was induced by inserting a 2F Fogarty catheter connected to a syringe pump after trepanation of the left frontoparietal area and injecting volume at the speed of 6 μl/min until spontaneous respiration ceased. BD was diagnosed by electroencephalogram, apnea testing,as well as testing of brain stem reflexes. Mechanical ventilation was performed by orotracheal intubation. Right carotid artery was intubated by a PE-10 cannula for the continuous monitoring of mean blood pressure (MAP) and heart rate (HR). The right external jugular vein was catheterized for volume resuscitation.The sham control group underwent the same procedure with catheter insertion but without balloon inflation.Livers were removed and fixed in paraffin to evaluate the histological alterations with the light microscopy.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>Mouse models of BD were successfully established about 20 minutes after balloon inflation, and the mean balloon volume at the time of BD was (105.77 ± 21.57)μl. The MAP and HR rapidly increased on occurrence of BD and the peak value was (128.28 ± 17.16) mmHg and (434.16 ± 55.75) beat/min, respectively, which were significant higher than those in the sham control group at the same time point (P=0.000). During the 4-hour follow-up time, MAP and HR in 72% (18/25) of BD animals remained haemodynamically stable. No animal died due to anesthesia and surgical operation.Hepatic tissues in BD mice showed mild focal ischemic damages (cellular edema, congestion, and inflammatory infiltration), which were slighter and fewer in sham control group.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>The mouse model of BD was successfully established with lower surgical difficulty and can be performed in a standardized, reproducible and successful way.</p>

ABSTRACT

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To observe the hemodynamic change and reperfusion injury cause by transient hepatic venous occlusion and transient hepatic inflow occlusion in rats.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>The rat liver was divided into 3 different areas: the ischemia reperfusion (IR) area: the inflow of the right superior lobe was clamped for half an hour; the non-isolated lobe congestive reperfusion (NIL-CR) area: the outflow of the right median lobe was clamped for half an hour; and the isolated lobe congestive reperfusion (IL-CR) area: the outflow of the left lobe was clamped for half an hour. The flux value and the oxygen saturation of microcirculation were monitored before at clamping for 30 minutes, and on 1 day, 3 days ,and 7 days after reperfusion. The hepatic damage and Suzuki's score were evaluated.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>After clamping for 30 minutes, the flux value in the IR area was significantly higher than in NIL-CR area (P<0.01) and IL-CR area (P<0.01), the oxygen saturation in the IR area was significantly higher than in NIL-CR area (P<0.01) and IL-CR area (P<0.05). Compared with IR area, both NIL-CR area and IL-CR area were found having more severe liver damage in terms of Suzuki's score in early postoperative period (at clamping for 30 minutes and on 1 day, P<0.01). However, there was no significant difference between NIL-CR area and IL-CR area in flux value, oxygen saturation, and Suzuki's score (P>0.05).</p><p><b>CONCLUSIONS</b>Hepatic venous occlusion can more effectively decrease the blood perfrusion and oxygen saturation; thus, compared to the IR, CR can result in more severe liver damage. The presence of normal liver tissue around the congestion area can not influence liver damage in transient hepatic venous occlusion.</p>

ABSTRACT

Present research is aimed towards designing and development of environmental protection plasticizers using the fractionation heavy component in the industrial production of corn stalks as raw material. The plant-based rubber oil (PBRO) plasticizers are the reactants of the dihydric alcohols (Polyols) in heavy component with phthalic anhydride (PA) (the molar ratio of Polyols/PA as 2 : 1) at the temperature range of 180 -190ºC. The main advantage is that this substance does not contain any of the sixteen hazardous substances of PAHs (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) and 38 hazardous substances of PAHs (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) recorded in EU REACH regulation. In plasticization of NBR, the dosage of PBRO can reach 25 phr (parts per hundreds of rubber), but the plasticizing effects of PBRO is inferior to common rubber oil (paraffin oil, naphthenic oil, aromatic hydrocarbon oil and Dioctyl phthalate). In plasticization of SBR, the maximum amount of PBRO is 20 phr. Although the mechanical properties decrease; the aging resistance and thermal stability (the temperature of maximum weight losses of PBRO as 302ºC) are slightly higher than that of common rubber oil.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the utilization of oral antihypertensive drugs in the emergency department of our hospital.METHODS: By using drug utilization index,the oral antihypertensive drugs used in the emergency department of our hospital from Mar to Aug in 2006 were analyzed statistically in respect of the drug categories,DDDs,DDC etc.RESULTS: Leading the list in terms of DDDs and DDC were calcium antagonists,ACEI and compound preparations.CONCLUSION: The utilization of oral antihyperetensive drugs in the emergency department of our hospital was basically in line with that of the currently common antihypertensive drugs,however,the application categories should be extended,esp.for those with prolonged action.Furthermore,individualized medication should be advocated and great importance should be attached to ADR.

ABSTRACT

Lycopene liposomes were prepared by conventional rotary-evaporated film-ultrasonication method. The release of lycopene from lycopene liposome was evaluated in vitro. The pharmacokinetic parameters of lycopene liposomes (L-LYC) and lycopene (LYC) oil, the effect of LYC and L-LYC on antioxidation were also investigated in rats. HPLC method was used to assay the concentration of lycopene in rat's plasma. Pharmacokinetic parameters were estimated by 3P97 program. The release of L-LYC and LYC were measured in the artificial stomach liquid and bowel liquid. After 4 weeks of L-LYC or LYC feeding, the activity of SOD, T-AOC, GSH-Px, MDA and CAT in serum and liver were measured separately. The pharmacokinetic parameters of LYC oil and L-LYC in a single dose were 4.45 and 7.45 h for Tmax; 0.473 and 0.654 microg x mL(-1) for Cmax; 12.38 and 21.67 mirog x h x mL(-1) for AUC,respectively. The activities of GSH-Px and T-AOC in serum and liver of the L-LYC group increased (P < 0.05) and the concentrations of MDA and CAT decreased significantly (P < 0.05). It could be concluded that lycopene liposomes could prolong the time of absorption. L-LYC could increase antioxidative effect and reduce lipid peroxidation obviously compared with LYC in rats.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the proportions of the functional dyspepsia (FD) subgroups and to explore theri relationship with Helicobacter pylori (HP).Methods 186 cases with FD received questionaires about their condition and were typed according to their symptom.HP was detected through urease test,spear technique and cultivation.Results The proportion and HP-positive rate of the subgroup were 11.29%,14.24% in reflux-type dyspepsia,13.98%,46.15% in ulcer-type dyspepsin,48.39%,41.11% in dysmotility-type dyspepsia and 26.34%, 38.78% in complex dyspepsia,respectively.The total HP-positive rate of FD is 38.17%.Conclusion Dysmotility-type dyspepsia is most common.Some subgroups are overlapping with each other.There is no relationship between FD and HP.The HP-positive rate of the reflux-type dyspepsia is lower.This observation suggests that HP may have protective effects on esophagus.

ABSTRACT

The optimized cultural medium of fermentation for Candida sp.mutant strain YQ5 to produce S-adenosylmethionine was studied.The results of single factor experiment showed that the most favorable pH value,carbon source,nitrogen source organic nutrient is 6.0,8% sucrose,1.5% tryptone and 2% yeast extract,respectively.As to inorganic salts,MgSO4?7H2O,CaCl2,FeSO4?7H2O,CoCl2,CuSO4?5H2O,H3BO3 could improve accumulation of the intercellular SAM.The ingredients of the culture medium are also opti-mized by the orthogonal experiment.Fermentation for 48 h under the optimal condition resulted in AdoMet production at 1740.0 mg/L.
